We’re excited to welcome two new Senior Sustainability Consultants to Flotilla: Erin Daly and Alaska Westlake. Their arrival marks the latest step in Flotilla’s continued growth, bringing fresh expertise to our advisory offering.
Erin brings deep, hands-on experience advising private equity clients, from portfolio-level financed emissions to SBTi target-setting, and will play a key role in expanding Flotilla’s private equity advisory offering. Alaska brings six years of ESG experience delivering Net Zero roadmaps and supply chain decarbonisation strategy across sectors from packaging to healthcare, and will play a key role in enhancing our supply chain engagement offering. Below, they share what drew them to Flotilla, what they’ll be focusing on, and what excites them most about their new roles.
Erin Daly, Senior Sustainability Consultant, London
What attracted her to this industry?
Erin has always wanted to work on something that makes a difference in the world. Sustainability consulting puts her on the front line of tackling climate change, in an industry full of people who genuinely want to do good.
What attracted her to Flotilla?
For Erin, it was the platform itself, built by people who really understand ESG. She’s excited to work on a product that makes her job more effective, alongside a passionate and talented team.
What role will she be taking on?
As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, Erin will help clients on their journey to net zero, advising on data collection, internal and external reporting, target-setting and decarbonisation actions. She’ll be leading Flotilla’s SBTi workstream, spanning private equity firms with complex financed emissions, portfolio companies and SMEs.
What’s she most excited about?
Working with new clients, bringing her insights into platform development, and helping build out Flotilla’s PE advisory offering alongside a great team.
Strengths she brings:
Technical expertise in carbon accounting and ESG reporting, particularly financed emissions, PCAF methodology and Scope 3, paired with a commercial mindset built from growing client accounts and identifying new workstreams. Erin describes herself as a problem solver at her best when the data is messy and the brief is ambiguous.
Beyond ESG:
Erin is passionate about fun facts (tell her one and you’ll have a friend for life), and has spent the past few years playing five-a-side football, picking up a new skill and some great friends along the way.
Alaska Westlake, Senior Sustainability Consultant, Manchester
What attracted her to this industry?
Having watched the effects of climate change intensify over the last 20 years, Alaska wanted a role where she could make a real difference, in a sector with the knowledge and capability to identify what needs to change.
What attracted her to Flotilla?
Flotilla’s focus on private equity and investment allows capital to shape how businesses grow without harm. Alaska was drawn to a role that blends technology and human skill to guide clients along an ethical pathway to growth, reaching many different businesses and sectors along the way.
What role will she be taking on?
Alaska will focus on sustainability supply chain strategy, supporting clients to connect with their suppliers to assess decarbonisation and climate risk mitigation opportunities.
What’s she most excited about?
Being part of the new office and growing her network across the North West helping her city and its businesses decarbonise.
Strengths she brings:
Six years of ESG experience designing and implementing Net Zero roadmaps across sectors including packaging, healthcare and SME GHG consulting, from C-suite engagement and supplier upskilling to large-scale organisational change across SMEs and global businesses.
Beyond ESG:
Alaska loves being outside in nature, volunteering on sustainable farms and combining this with practical agroforestry and resilient food systems projects, from planting trees to helping with the harvest.
